He is a direct descendant of the famous Dutch Master – Vincent van Gogh. Having been a professional artist for over 40 years, it is ironical that the details of his famous ancestry have only recently come to light. John was always inspired by the great Dutch Masters – Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and of course, Vincent van Gogh. He visited the great Art Museums of Europe, and this fostered his desire to paint and draw at a very early age. He won the European Scouting Art Award at twelve years of age , making him the youngest prize-winner since its inception.
